Sudden Death in Sport Activities

A B S T R A C T 

Abstract
Athletes thought to be the healthiest individuals in society. Thus a growing number of people are involved in recreational physical activity. Nevertheless, sudden and unexpected deaths may occur during or after physical activity. Although these deaths are associated with several medical and environmental factor, the majority is result from cardiac diseases. In the present article it is aimed to review causes and mechanism of sudden death in the course of sports.

Spor Aktivitelerinde Ani Ölüm

Özet
Sporcuların toplumun en sağlıklı bireyleri olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu nedenle birçok insan fiziksel aktivitelere katılmaktadır. Bununla birlikte, fiziksel aktiviteler esnasında veya sonrasında ani ve beklenmedik ölümler meydana gelebilmektedir. Bu ölümler kişisel ve çevresel faktörlerle ilişkili olmakla birlikte, büyük çoğunluğu kalp hastalıklarından kaynaklanmaktadır. Bu makalede ani spor ölümlerinin sebepleri ve mekanizmasının ele alınması amaçlanmıştır.
