Abstract
Bupropion hydrochloride is currently available in three formulations: immediate-release (IR), sustained-release (SR), and extended-release (ER) Bupropion Hydrochloride (HCI). It is reported that Bupropion Hcl triggers seizure activity in immediate-release and sustained- release formulations. However, such an effect has been rarely cited in the medical literature for the extended release formulation. We determined in our emergency department a 37 years old woman who was taking extended-release bupropion hydrochloride tablets and having a generalized tonic-seizure attack. While the other reasons have been researched during the evaluations of the patients Who have not had epilepsy diagnosis beforehand and have referred to the hospital at first seizure, the examinations of antidepressant drugs have to be necessary.

Bupropion HCl yavaş salınımlı formuna bağlı jeneralize tonik klonik nöbet

Özet
Bupropion Hidroklorid (HCI), hızlı salınımlı , sürekli salınımlı ve yavaş salınımlı olmak üzere üç farklı formu bulunmaktadır. Bupropion HCI sürekli ve hızlı salınımlı formlarda özellikle nöbet tetiklediği bildirilmiştir. Fakat yavaş salınımlı formunun nöbet tetiklediği literatürde oldukça nadir olarak bildirilmiştir(1). Bizde vakamızda nadir olması nedeni ile, Bupropionun yavaş salınımlıformunu kullanan ve acil servise jeneralize tonik klonik nöbetle gelen 37 yaşındaki bayan hastayı vurgulamayı amaçladık.Daha önce epilepsi tanısı olmayan ve ilk nöbetle hastaneye başvuran hastaların değerlendirilmesi sırasında diğer nedenler araştırılırken, antidepressan ilaçların da sorgulanması gerekmektedir.

Anahtar Kelimeler: Bupropion, Nöbet, Acil servis
